Romsdal rando 2026

11th of April

Norway's most epic skirace

See the information page for latest course updates

Choose between two competition formats:

Individual

The classical individual format. A mass start in the mountains. This year’s Romsdal Rando Individual competition will host the Norwegian Championship in ski mountaineering.

Team

For the first time, Romsdal Rando will offer a team competition. The team format is well known in the Alps — and is historically the preferred long-distance format. Teams of 2 to 5 will complete the course together and compete against other teams.

...and choose between three courses:

Long course

2,500 m vertical gain
20 km

The ultimate ski race, putting your uphill strength, downhill speed, and technical mountaineering skills to the test.

Medium course

1,800 m vertical gain
15 km.

A slightly shorter version of the long course — still designed to test your technical mountaineering skills.

Short course

1,300 m vertical gain
12 km

A nice introduction to a proper ski mountaineering race — less technical, but still with the best views of Romsdalen.

Kids

Kids race will be organaized from the arena at race-day. Registration on raceday.
