Safety & Weather
Safety:
By organising a ski mountaineering race in a high-mountain environment, there is always an inherent risk associated with avalanches, steep and exposed terrain, injuries in the mountains, and other acute incidents that may occur. The organiser has a low threshold for adjusting or rerouting the course in order to maintain a safe event.
Our volunteers and safety personnel will do everything reasonably possible to facilitate a safe race; however, each athlete is fully responsible for making sound decisions in the mountains based on their own skill level and skiing ability. Athletes must not, under any circumstances, put themselves or others at risk by acting irresponsibly during the race.

If any questions regarding safety or equipment, do not hesitate to contact us.
Weather:
Due to unpredictable weather, avalanche risk, and wind exposure, the final course will be set in the days leading up to the race. The final course will be presented at the briefing. Changes may also occur on race day if conditions are particularly challenging. The schedule may be delayed on race day if course changes are required.

In the event that the race is cancelled (e.g. due to lack of snow), the organiser will post updates on the “Latest updates” page. Registered participants will be transferred to next year’s race. The entry fee is non-refundable.
